Imagine this. You are back in the 50s in your small town. It’s summer. However, in your town there has been a series of attacks by an unknown individual. Everyone is in fear. This is the reality that the traveler experienced when he settled down in the 50s for a while. He was hired by the drive in to make some clothing. He made two pieces, this is the first one. The idea behind the design was to be an advertisement. Lastly on the right arm patch, “The monster hands at the drive-in.” Just to add to the lore. This piece is a button up shirt and has a full Sherpa lining.
Original story:
I started to get notoriety around town as a good clothing maker. Especially here in the 50s I am appreciated for my skill. I was hired by the local drive-in to produce two pieces of clothing that could be displayed at the entrance. Usually I would’ve went with some more summer style clothing, however I felt more inspired and at home with the feeling of Fall leading into winter. I had some jackets from the 90s that had this very popular “Sherpa” material in it. I used a paint marker to draw the sign for the drive in. I then proceeded to write out some of the things you can buy when you go and the most popular category of films to see “horror” that is. With all that’s been going on with this madman on the loose it seems as though people have fed into it and have almost felt intrigued by it. They use the horror films to creep themselves out. The last thing I wrote which added to the hysteria was that the monster hangs at the drive in. I thought this was fun to add because people will see it and want to come more and more in hopes maybe they’d see the monster. Anyways, I’m going to start working on the other one and I’ll be back soon.
